We Eat Food That’s Fresh has won two silver Moonbeam Awards. The first is for Best Picture Book – Preschool and the second is for Best Illustrator. We Eat Food That’s Fresh was published in June 2009 and was written by Angela Russ-Ayon and Illustrated by Cathy June.
The Moonbeam Awards are presented by Jenkins Group and Independent Publisher Online. The awards are designed to bring increased recognition to exemplary children’s books and their creators, and to support childhood literacy and life-long reading. Awards are given in 36 categories covering the full range of subjects, styles and age groups that children’s books are written and published in today.
